The Sacred Heart of Jesus Viewpoint is located at the top of Guadalupe hill, on Rua de Camões, in the parish of São Vicente, city of Braga, northern Portugal.
Features
The Miradouro do Sagrado Coração de Jesus is located close to Braga's philosophy faculty, and has majestic architecture and an excellent view of the city, being the highest point in the city.
This monument has a statue of the Sacred Heart at the top, in memory of the solemn consecration of the city and the archdiocese of Braga to the Divine Heart of Christ carried out on May 16, 1886, in the time of D. António José de Freitas Honorato.
The property currently houses the Regional Center of the Portuguese Catholic University.
This monument is located in a building painted white with very small windows, access is via several spiral stairs, and when you reach the top, on top of a large stone, you can see the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on a large terrace with a balcony.
