Historic center of Braga, next to Arco da Porta Nova, in Braga

Largo da Senhora-A-Branca is at the end of the gardens on Avenida Central and was previously known as “Campo de Santana”.

It is an irregularly shaped square that has a staircase in the center due to the slope of the street, and a stone cross that is a National Monument in the center.

In this square we can see well-kept and colorful flowerbeds with purple, yellow and red tulips, some trees, stone benches and at the exits of the garden, vines adorn the arches.

On one side of the square are the Senhora-A-Branca Palace and the Nossa Senhora-Branca-A Church and also some sculptures, one dedicated to Pius XII and the other to the surgeon Alberto Cruz.
